Carol Fitzgerald will be presenting BuzzBack's latest pharmaceutical study, New Techniques for Exploring Doctor & Patient Perceptions of COPD Monday, Oct. 21st at 4pm in the Liberty Room.
According to the CDC, chronic lower respiratory disease, primarily COPD, was the third leading cause of death in the US in 2011. Pharmaceutical companies working on medication and devices to treat COPD are eager to understand symptoms patients experience, but also feelings linked to the disease. Traditional online research approaches reveal quantitative learning and numbers, but lack personal depth and understanding. By uncovering emotions and subconscious feelings, marketers can connect to sufferers more effectively.
To leverage the benefits of online forums and visual probing techniques, combined with the ‘wall of web anonymity,’ this study features learnings from a series of online forums with patients and physicians participating together about COPD -- effectively creating a ‘safe space’ for patients and doctors to share thoughts and feelings about COPD and how they deal with its experiences.
Please also join us on Monday, Oct 21st at 6pm for the Awards Dinner as BuzzBack's Bill Salokar, Director of Client Development will be honored for his outstanding work and commitment toward advancing PMRG. This is Bill's 3rd year volunteering on the Education Committee and we are proud to have a 2013 PMRG Circle of Excellence award winner on our team.
