Have You Heard of the Wayback Machine?

Pssssst. I’m going to let you in on a fun, little internet secret that most people don’t know about yet. Have you ever heard of the Wayback Machine? It’s an internet archive site that has over 374 billion webpages saved since the mid-1990s. Sometimes I like to check it out to see how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. I found myself going to the Wayback Machine lately after noticing how the internet itself seemed to be making headlines in the US.

From Beyoncé’s secret online video album that seemed to upset retailers to the news that online holiday sales set a new record, the internet has been working overtime lately. As consumers across the globe now have even more access to the internet by way of mobile devices, they are letting their guard down and taking the plunge into online shopping.

As an early adopter in the online market research field, we too have seen online interest grow steadily over the years by clients and respondents alike. We love it because it allows us to accommodate our clients' need for faster learning with leaner budgets. As more and more people become comfortable in making their way around the internet, they will come to realize what we’ve known since our early days, that the internet is fast and convenient and if used with a bit of discernment they will see amazing results.

Now what are you waiting for? Go look up your company’s website or some of your favorite brands on the Wayback Machine. You can go back in time and see some of the earliest iterations of their websites.
