Registration and Participation in buzzback Sessions
In order to use this website, users must first complete the registration form and provide some personal information including demographic information and contact information. Buzzback uses your demographic information (such as age, gender, etc.) to invite you to appropriate research sessions. We also use the demographic information you submit to interpret the results of our research. (For example, if we did a survey on television watching habits we might report that 60% of single people watch TV at least 3 days a week.) Buzzback uses your contact information (such as name, email address, and postal address) to invite you to participate in buzzback sessions and to pay you for your participation. Buzzback will not disclose your identity or any of your personally identifiable information without your authorization.
Cookies
Buzzback and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer its website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Cookies are small text files which are transferred from our websites, applications or services and stored on your device. We use cookies to help us provide you with a personalized service, and to help make our website, applications and services better for you. Buzzback serves session cookies only. Once the user closes their browser, the session is ended and the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. We may also use cookies to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Users who reject cookies will have limited use of our site. For example, the user will not be able to participate in a buzzback research session.

The security of your personal information is important to us. We take every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via our website, their information is protected both online and offline.
When our registration form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as their passwords), that information is hidden (ie stars – *** – appear instead of letters or numbers).
Buzzback also does everything in its power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our computers and mobile devices are password-protected with screen-savers and required authentication when employees leave their desks. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, employees are notified and/or reminded of the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users’ information is protected.
Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure, restricted access environment.
If you have any questions about the security of our website or your personal information, you can send an email to privacyteam@buzzback.com.

Information will not be disclosed to a third party or used for a purpose that is materially different from the original stated purpose. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications. However, these communications are not promotional in nature. We communicate with users to provide requested services and in regard to issues relating to their account via email or phone.
